Our Approach

How we think about tees for the in-between years.

Why the in-between years

The years between roughly 9 and 14 are a real gap in the apparel world. Kids’ brands cut for younger bodies and lean into cute graphics. Teen brands cut for grown teen bodies and lean into mature styling. In the middle, a girl who’s no longer a little kid but not yet a teenager often ends up wearing clothes that feel either too young or too old.

The in-between years are when her personal taste is forming. The clothes she chooses now matter to her, even if the price tags don’t matter to you. We make tees designed to feel like hers — current without trying too hard, comfortable, and honest about what they are.

How we choose our tees

We don’t pick blanks for cheapest cost. We pick them for these things, in this order:

  1. Fit suitable for the 9–14 age range — not too boxy, not body-conscious, not crop.
  2. Cotton-rich composition — for hand feel, breathability, and how it ages.
  3. Print compatibility — surface and weave that take design well, wash after wash.
  4. Collar quality — collars are the first thing to fail on cheap tees. We test recovery after stretching.
  5. Opacity — no see-through fabric. Especially in white and pale neutrals.
  6. Wash performance — tested for shrinkage and color stability before we sell.
  7. Reliable availability — a tee you can’t reorder is a tee we can’t promise.

What we won’t do

  • Promise “premium” without backing it up with verifiable details.
  • Show fabricated review counts or invented testimonials.
  • Use scarcity timers or fake discounts to pressure a purchase.
  • Market to children directly — our communications go to the buying parent.
  • Hide measurements, materials, or delivery timing.
  • Sell designs we wouldn’t put on a kid we know.
